Mentoring

Any young person who is a member at The Factory can access the Mentoring programme.

Reasons for joining the programme range from wanting to gain the confidence to try new and exciting things to having experienced severe emotional hardship. The programme runs directly from the Youth Zone in Manchester but is open to young people from all areas.

On the Seniors and one of the Juniors programmes, young people are matched to a Mentor who they meet weekly with for at least a year to receive support, guidance and encouragement to achieve their goals. Juniors are also offered a group programme in which they work with other young people for around 12 weeks to develop social skills, independence and confidence.
