The Factory is an approved activity provider for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
The Duke of Edinburgh Award was created in 1956 and gives all young people aged 14 – 24 the chance to develop key skills for employment and life in general. Completing the award gives young people increased confidence in their abilities and helps enable them to fulfil their potential and have a brighter future.
Working in teams and independently, participants working towards their Bronze Award must complete 3 – 6 months of volunteering, a physical activity and an activity that builds skills. Young people are also required to plan, train and take part in a 2 day (1 night) expedition.
If you’re interested in gaining your Bronze Award, please email Chris Mason for more information.
