Challenge to Change is a 10 week personal development programme aimed at young offenders or those identified as at risk of offending. Targeting young people aged 11 – 16 years old, the project utilises sport and adventurous activities to make a positive impact. Each young person receives 1:1 support as well as the opportunity to gain qualifications in a range of different sports.

Challenge to Change – The Aims for Young People

  • Create positive friendships and improve existing relationships with peers.
  • Integrate into other departments and projects at The Factory Youth Zone.
  • Increase in confidence and self-esteem through developing new skills and gaining qualifications in sport.
  • Reduce how often they are brought to the attention of the Police or Youth Offending Services.
